The Net-WMS project is structured around 10 Work Packages (WP), each led by one of the consortium partners. Work Packages are responsible for a set of activities assigned to them in the overall project implementation plan. The different areas of research and development can be logically illustrated as follows:

• WP1 : Overall project management

• WP 2,3 : Analysis: WMS current practices, existing technologies, business cases

• WP 4,5,6,8 : Research: Architecture, virtual reality, Constraint & Rule programming

• WP 7,9,10 : Outcome: Identify candidate applications, validate and disseminate results
